Ouarzazate, about 200 km from Marrakech, is the capital of southern Morocco, in the Souss-Mass-Draa region. Although it is known by the name of "The Gate of the desert", many kilometers remain to find the true dunes of the Sahara. To visit the desert it is mandatory to go through the city.

Once in Ouarzazate it is essential to stop at the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou and the Kasbah Taourit. For movie lovers we find the Atlas Studios film studios, where several international production companies work and where countless historical films have been shot.

To go to the desert from Ouarzazate we can do several circuits to Merzouga or M'hamid. It is necessary, at least, one day out and one day back.

We propose several options. Here we offer some circuits according to the number of days available. These circuits go in the direction of the Sahara desert, but the options can be extended to the north of the country. Being private circuits, it is possible to adapt them to the tastes, interests and needs of the traveler.
