November 19 Marrakech · High Atlas · Ouarzazate · Draa Valley · Zagora · TagouniteDeparture at 8:00 a.m. from the accommodation in Marrakech. We’ll cross the High Atlas Mountains through the Tizi n’Tichka pass (2,260 m), enjoying breathtaking views, until we reach Ouarzazate, known as the “gateway to the desert” and filming location for many famous movies. Optional visit to the Cinema Museum.
We’ll continue through the beautiful Draa Valley, one of Morocco’s most scenic routes. On the way, we’ll pass through Zagora and the village of Tamegroute, known for its traditional green pottery, before reaching Tagounite, where we’ll spend the night in a traditional guesthouse.

For about 3 hours, we’ll travel off-road through varied landscapes: hammada (rocky desert), an oasis, and finally the stunning Chegaga dunes — a sea of sand with dunes up to 300 meters high and stretching over 45 km.
We’ll be welcomed with a traditional tea ceremony. There will also be the option to take a camel excursion. Overnight stay at the desert camp in traditional tents (jaimas).
After watching the sunrise, if desired, and having breakfast, we’ll continue along the old Paris-Dakar Rally route. We’ll travel through spectacular desert landscapes, passing Lake Iriki, surrounded by dunes and sometimes filled with water during certain times of the year.
We’ll continue on dirt tracks until Foum Zguid, where we’ll rejoin the paved road. From there, we’ll pass through Tazenakht and cross the Atlas Mountains to reach Aït Ben Haddou, a kasbah declared a UNESCO World Heritage site.
