November 17 Marrakech

We’ll pick you up at Marrakesh airport at the agreed time and take you to the Riad for check-in and rest.

 

November 18 Marrakech

A perfect day to stroll through the medina, visit iconic landmarks like the Koutoubia Mosque or Jemaa el-Fna square, and soak in the vibrant atmosphere of the city.

November 19 Marrakech · High Atlas · Ouarzazate · Draa Valley · Zagora · Tagounite

Departure at 8:00 a.m. from the accommodation in Marrakech. We’ll cross the High Atlas Mountains through the Tizi n’Tichka pass (2,260 m), enjoying breathtaking views, until we reach Ouarzazate, known as the “gateway to the desert” and filming location for many famous movies. Optional visit to the Cinema Museum.
We’ll continue through the beautiful Draa Valley, one of Morocco’s most scenic routes. On the way, we’ll pass through Zagora and the village of Tamegroute, known for its traditional green pottery, before reaching Tagounite, where we’ll spend the night in a traditional guesthouse.

November 20 Tagounite · M’hamid El Ghizlane · Ouasi Sacre · Erg Chegaga

After breakfast, we’ll take a walk around some of the kasbahs surrounding the village of Tagounite. We’ll continue the journey to M’hamid El Ghizlane, the last paved village before the desert adventure begins.
For about 3 hours, we’ll travel off-road through varied landscapes: hammada (rocky desert), an oasis, and finally the stunning Chegaga dunes — a sea of sand with dunes up to 300 meters high and stretching over 45 km.
We’ll be welcomed with a traditional tea ceremony. There will also be the option to take a camel excursion. Overnight stay at the desert camp in traditional tents (jaimas).

November 21 Erg Chegaga · Lake Iriki · Foum Zguid · Tazenakht · Atlas Mountains · Aït Ben Haddou

After watching the sunrise, if desired, and having breakfast, we’ll continue along the old Paris-Dakar Rally route. We’ll travel through spectacular desert landscapes, passing Lake Iriki, surrounded by dunes and sometimes filled with water during certain times of the year.
We’ll continue on dirt tracks until Foum Zguid, where we’ll rejoin the paved road. From there, we’ll pass through Tazenakht and cross the Atlas Mountains to reach Aït Ben Haddou, a kasbah declared a UNESCO World Heritage site.

November 22 Aït Ben Haddou · Telouet · Marrakech · Airport

Breakfast and departure to Marrakech at 6:00 a.m.
Transfer to the airport (expected arrival at 11:30 a.m.).
