This journey to the Atlas Mountains and the Moroccan desert at Easter is an invitation to cross vast landscapes and experience the south of the country far from mass tourism.
Over 6 days, we travel across Morocco by 4x4, crossing the Hight Atlas, the Dades Valley, and continuing into the Sahara Desert, reaching the dunes of Erg Lhoudi and Erg Chegaga.
A route designed to experience the desert in an authentic way, with time to feel the silence, the space, and the slow rhythm of the desert, and to connect or disconnect, according to what each person needs in each moment.
Pick-up at Marrakech airport at the agreed time and transfer to the accommodation (hotel or riad).
Free time to start discovering the city at your own pace: walking through the medina, getting lost in the souks, squares and narrow streets, or simply resting after the journey and settling into the Moroccan atmosphere.

03/30 Marrakech - Aït Ben Haddou - DadesDeparture at 8:00 am from the accommodation in Marrakech, starting the journey south.
We cross the High Atlas Mountains, passing the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 m), the highest mountain pass in Morocco, enjoying panoramic views over valleys and Berber villages. At the foot of the mountain, we make a panoramic visit to the Kasbah Aït Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site and the setting for numerous historical films.
We continue to Ouarzazate, known as the African Hollywood, a key point on the route to the desert.
From there, we travel through the Valley of the Roses, an area of great natural beauty, until reaching the winding road that leads to the Dades Valley, where we spend the night.

03/31 Dades - Draa Valley - Erg LihoudiAfter breakfast at the hotel, we will visit the Dades Gorges, a spectacular canyon filled with impressive rock formations.
We continue along the Draa Valley, considered one of the most beautiful routes in Morocco, passing through Zagora, the last town before entering the desert, Tamegroute, famous for its traditional green pottery, and crossing the village of Tagounite. After passing Tajine Mountain, we take the track leading to Erg Lihoudi, an area of sand dunes, less touristy and perfect for experiencing your first authentic desert adventure.

4/1 Erg Lihoudi - Erg ChegagaWake up with the sunrise, a unique spectacle not to be missed.
We set off along the off-road track, traveling for approximately 3 hours through varied landscapes: hammada (rocky desert), small oases, and surprising formations, until reaching the Chegaga dunes. A true sea of sand, with a 300 m high dune and an expanse of around 40 km of dune horizon.
Upon arrival, enjoy a traditional tea ceremony as a desert welcome.
To finish the day, a camel excursion to watch the sunset among the dunes, an unforgettable experience.

4/2 Erg Chegaga - Iriki Lake - Foum Zguid - Atlas - MarrakechAfter a hearty breakfast in the desert, we begin the route along the old Paris-Dakar Rally track, crossing new desert landscapes and enjoying the vastness of the Sahara. We pass by Lake Iriki, surrounded by dunes, which in some parts of the year holds water.
We continue along the track to Foum Zguid, where we return to paved roads and ascend again through the Atlas Mountains, arriving in Marrakech.

4/3 Transfer to the airportAt the agreed time, transfer from the accommodation to Marrakech airport. End of the journey and farewell, taking with you unforgettable memories of the Atlas Mountains and the Sahara Desert.
