3 days / 2 nights

Combine the night in the desert with some activity (quad, henna tattoos, visit to the souk, stay with families or a walk through the kasbahs) or simply to enjoy the tranquility and beauty of the place to get to know the Moroccan tradition and culture

It can also be done in another area of the desert (Erg Lihoudi or Erg Chebbi).

Following the link you will find brief information on the three areas mentioned: The three Ergs of Morocco.

Day 1 Ouarzazate - Agdz - Draa Valley - Tagounite

Pick up at 8 am at the accommodation in Ouarzazate. We cross the Draa Valley, with its great palm grove and kasbahs that surround it and form one of the most beautiful routes in all of Morocco. We pass through several towns in the south of Morocco, Agdz and Zagora, which is the last city we find. We continue through the Draa Valley until we reach Tagounite. Possibility of sleeping in a typical house, camping or hotel (as preferred).

Day 2 Tagounite - visit kasbahs - Tajine Mountain - Ouled Driss - Sacred Oasis - Chigaga

Some 52 kasbahs surround the town of Tagounite. After having breakfast we will make an excursion in some of them. If the day falls on a Thursday or Sunday we will have the option of taking a walk through the town's souk (traditional market).
Then we will continue south and pass by Tajine Mountain, Ouled Driss and M'hamid, where the asphalt ends. We will enter the track to start the adventure (for about 3 or 4 hours), through desert landscapes, hamada, stone desert and an oasis until we reach the heart of the desert, in Erg Chigaga.
At the camp we will be received with a tea ceremony, a typical Moroccan welcome. We will take a dromedary ride through the dunes to see the sunset. We will enjoy a typical Moroccan dinner and sleep in a nomadic haima.

Day 3 Chigaga - Lake Iriki - Foum Zguid - Taznakth - Ouarzazate

We recommend getting up early to see the sunrise and enjoy the sunrise from the great silence of the desert.
