7 days/ 6 nights - Gran Sur

With this trip you can see a great variety of landscapes in Morocco; mountains, desert and beach. Endless colors and endearing places that will not be forgotten. We propose a one-week circuit visiting an Oasis in the south of Marrakech; the gorges of the Dades, with their great gorges; the Draa Valley, one of the most beautiful routes in Morocco. We will reach the last town that enjoys asphalt, M'hamid el Gizlane; we will sleep in the sea of dunes of Chegaga with dunes of 300m. high and, we will pass by the fishing town of Essaouira, where we can enjoy a dip in the Atlantic before returning to Marrakech.

Along the way you will be able to see how the goats climb their favorite tree to help us turn their fruits into argan, you will have a dromedary ride in the dunes, you will be able to sleep (depending on the season) under a starry sky, we will enjoy music in the desert, you will visit an oasis and other activities that can be proposed. The Great South of Morocco awaits you!

Day 1 Marrakech - High Atlas - Ouarzazate - Fint

Pick up at your accommodation in Marrakech. We cross the High Atlas to its highest point, in the Tizi'n Tiscka Mountain (2,260 m altitude). Once at the foot of the mountain we arrive at the city of Ouarzazate. Here are the Atlas Studios film studios, where great films such as Gladiator, Asterix and Obelix, Ben Hur, The Mummy, etc. have been shot. After about 10 km we will arrive at the Oasis Fint.

Day 2 Fint - Skoura - Dades Gorges

In the morning we will go to Skoura, a palm grove of about 25 km and the city of Roses, until we reach the Dades Gorges, some gorges in the valley of the Dades River. We will sleep in a hotel.

Day 3 Dades - Tamnougalt - Agdz - Draa Valley - Tagounite

After breakfast at the hotel we will visit the Dades Gorges and continue through the Draa Valley, one of the most beautiful routes in the country. We will pass through Zagora, the last city before entering the desert, Tamegroute, known for the elaboration of green pottery and we will arrive at Tagounite, where we will spend the night in a traditional house.

Day 4 Tagounite - M'hamid El Gizlane - Ouasi Sacre - Erg Chegaga

After breakfast we will take a walk through some of the kasbahs that surround the town of Tagounite. We will follow the route to M'hamid el Gzlane, the town where the asphalt ends and the route that will take us to the desert begins. We will travel, for about 3 hours, off road track, with different landscapes; hammada (stone desert), an oasis... until we reach the Chegaga dunes, where we will find a sea of sand with dunes 300 m high and an extension of about 45 km. They will receive us with the tea ceremony, as a sign of welcome. We can go on a dromedary excursion. We will spend the night in the haimas camp.

Day 5 Erg Chegaga - Lake Iriki - Foum Zguid - Taroudant

After seeing the sunrise, if desired, and having had breakfast, we will follow the route through the old Paris Dakar Rally, which will take us to more desert landscapes, we will pass by Lake Iriki, surrounded by dunes and which at some times of the year carry water. We will follow the track to Foum Zguid, where we will return to asphalt to Taroudant.

Day 6 Taroudant - Essaouira

We will arrive at the Atlantic Coast, in the town of Essaouira. Free visit to the Medina, swim on the beach (if the weather is good).

Day 7 Essaouira - Marrakech

Return to Marrakesh. Transfer at your accommodation or airport.
