4 days / 3 nights - Gorges and Sahara

To complete the trip in Morocco, we present a circuit with wonderful and very varied landscapes: between Skoura and the Draa Valley. Two huge palm groves that take us, on the one hand, to the Dades Gorges and, on the other hand, to the Sahara desert and the towns that make up southern Morocco.

This circuit can be extended with one more day, thus making two nights in the desert or with one more stage in the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou.

Day 1 Marrakech - High Atlas - Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou - Ouarzazate - Valley of the Roses - Dades Gorges

Pick up in Marrakech. We cross the High Atlas by the Tizi'n Tiscka Mountain (2,260 m.). Stop at the Kasbah Ait Benhaddou. We continue through Ouarzazate and from there we are diverted by Skoura and the Valley of Roses. Arrival in Dades and visit its Gorges.

Day 2 Dades Gorges - Draa Valley - Zagora - Tagounite

After breakfast at the hotel we will visit the Dades Gorges and continue through the Draa Valley, one of the most beautiful routes in the country. We will pass through Zagora, the last city before entering the desert, Tamegroute, known for the elaboration of green pottery and we will arrive at Tagounite, where we will spend the night in a traditional house.

Day 3 Tagounite - M'hamid El Gizlane - Ouasi Sacre - Erg Chegaga

After breakfast we will take a walk through some of the kasbahs that surround the town of Tagounite. We will follow the route to M'hamid el Gzlane, the town where the asphalt ends and the route that will take us to the desert begins. We will travel, for about 3 hours, off road track, with different landscapes; hammada (stone desert), an oasis... until we reach the Chegaga dunes, where we will find a sea of sand with dunes 300 m high and an extension of about 45 km. They will receive us with the tea ceremony, as a sign of welcome. We can go on a dromedary excursion. We will spend the night in the haimas camp.

Day 4 Erg Chegaga - Lake Iriki - Foum Zguid - Tazenakth - Atlas - Marrakech

After seeing the sunrise, if desired, and having had breakfast, we will follow the route through the old Paris Dakar Rally, which will take us to more desert landscapes, we will pass by Lake Iriki, surrounded by dunes and which at some times of the year carry water. We will follow the track to Foum Zguid, where we will return to asphalt. From there we will pass through Tazkakht, the Atlas and arrival in Marrakech.
